Position Overview:

The Receptionist provides service to all Sharks Sports & Entertainment departments by greeting and directing office visitors, answering general phone lines, processing calls appropriately and coordinating deliveries made at the reception desk. Projecting a positive guest service attitude through friendly, helpful service to callers and visitors is the key responsibility of the receptionist. Additional key administrative responsibilities include, providing accurate, detailed reports and record keeping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and respond to guest phone inquiries.
  • Direct incoming phone calls to the intended recipient.
  • Be knowledgeable of SAP Center events and answer guest questions about events and facility policies.
  • Maintain a log of items for pick-up by outside vendors and guests.
  • Maintain employee folder filing and compliance auditing.
  • Maintain schedules for conference rooms and lounges.
  • Maintain lobby area, with Arena Coming Events calendar, hockey schedules and other appropriate information and flyers.
  • Update and maintain the part-time team member bulletin board.
  • Support mailing efforts.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Perform simultaneous tasks including greeting visitors, answering calls, etc.
  • Courteous and helpful approach to problem solving and reassuring guests.
  • Reliable and consistent attendance.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook. Able to perform data entry.
  • Detail oriented and exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work on a computer screen for extended periods of time.
  • At this time, all SSE employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to working onsite at any SSE facility, unless the individual is able to telework or is otherwise eligible for an exemption in accordance with applicable law. If on-site services are to be performed, SSE will require you to certify your vaccination status as part of the onboarding process.
